Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions describe the nature of Firefly Coaching & Training’s services, what’s expected around payment, what happens in case of training course or coaching session cancellation, or if you will be late to, or are not able to attend the course or session you have booked, and confidentiality.

If you’ve purchased a Firefly Coaching & Training offering, it’s assumed that you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Through the rest of this document ‘Firefly’ will be used in place of ‘Firefly Coaching & Training’ for readability.

About Firefly services

Firefly delivers training courses (offered one-to-one or in small groups) and one-to-one coaching sessions, to help professionals to: make more progress in their work, reduce their work stress and avoid burnout, and feel more job satisfaction. The specific topics of training courses, and some coaching sessions, the duration and prices of courses and sessions, are as advertised on the Firefly website.

Firefly prides itself on delivering a high standard of quality in its training and coaching, however, it can only inform the behaviour and actions clients take to improve their experience at work. Only clients themselves can change their behaviour and actions to see better outcomes in their experience of work. Firefly is not liable for any damages related to the use of information provided in its courses and sessions. Your participation in Firefly courses or sessions is taken to reflect your acceptance of this.

All Firefly training courses and coaching sessions are delivered online using a Google Meet link sent prior to the course or session start. This means that clients will need their own internet connection using their own device. Online training and coaching works best when clients are in a space that is conducive to learning, with background noise at a minimum.

Firefly has a website, fireflycoaching.nz, to advertise training courses and coaching sessions, and which also offers valuable actionable information in its blog posts. By accessing and using the website, agreement with these Terms & Conditions is assumed.

Firefly retains the copyright over all Firefly website content, training course and coaching session document products, and any downloadable products.

Payment

Firefly will only confirm a training or coaching booking after full payment of the training or coaching invoice has been made. Invoices (raised via Hnry) will be sent to clients after we’ve agreed a day and time for the desired course or session (in the case of one-on-one offerings).

If payment hasn’t been made by a client at least 24 hours before the start of the course or session day and time that was discussed, the course or session slot may be offered to another client.

Course or session cancellation by Firefly

A training course or coaching session may need to be cancelled by Firefly in exceptional circumstances such as trainer/coach illness, or if the minimum number of participants for a group training course has not been reached.

If the training course or coaching session you have booked is cancelled, you will be contacted by email to discuss a future day and time to which your booking can be transferred. If payment has already been made, and a suitable replacement day and time can’t be agreed, clients will be offered a full refund for the affected session.

Firefly apologises for any inconvenience caused by training course or coaching session cancellation or booking transfer. However, it cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred by clients.

Client unavailability for courses or sessions

Firefly understands that circumstances change, and that things come up. If you need to cancel your training course or coaching session, whether due to illness or some other reason, please notify Firefly at least 24 hours in advance of the course or session start time to be able to transfer your course or session to a new day and time. Notification of unavailability can be made by email to marie-louise@fireflycoaching.nz.

Firefly books clients into training courses and coaching sessions after a conversation that ensures a good match of content delivery for the needs of the client. Therefore, a booking can’t simply be transferred to another person.

If a notification of unavailability by email is not received at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of a booked course or session, or is only received after the start time for a booked course or session, the course or session booking slot and course or coaching fee will be forfeited (lost) and no booking transfer will be offered.

Client lateness

Firefly courses and coaching sessions are best when the full duration of the course or session is available for covering the training or coaching content. Therefore, it’s best when clients are ready to engage from the booked start time.

However, it’s understood that sometimes lateness is unavoidable. Where possible, a notification of likely lateness to a course or session would be appreciated by email to marie-louise@fireflycoaching.nz. Note Firefly cannot add time to booked courses or sessions to make up for client lateness at the start. This may result in adjustments to the amount of material covered within the course or session.

Confidentiality

Firefly won’t share any personal or other information about clients, or information shared by clients while in training courses or coaching sessions.

Changes to these Terms & Conditions

Firefly reserves the right to change and update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
